Arash Jamilpanah, DDS
DENTIST ANESTHESIOLOGIST
Dr. Arash Jamilpanah is a compassionate and board-certified dental anesthesiologist dedicated to improving patients' access to dental care. As a leading expert in dental anesthesiology, he is well-accustomed to the dental office environment and procedures and tailors his services to patients' needs and surgical procedures.
Through his dental training, he recognized that dental phobia is a significant barrier to care, often preventing patients from receiving essential treatment. This realization inspired him to specialize in anesthesiology, ensuring that more individuals—especially children—can undergo necessary dental procedures in a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment.

Outside his practice, Dr. Jamilpanah enjoys exploring Chicago’s vibrant food scene. His favorites include Tzuco in River North, RH Rooftop in Oakbrook, and Del Seoul in Lakeview. He is also an avid hiker, frequenting Starved Rock State Park and local forest preserves in Barrington, Algonquin, and Rockford.

Catherine Roberts, DMD
DENTIST ANESTHESIOLOGIST
Originally from Boston, Dr. Catherine Roberts has been involved in the dental field since the age of sixteen and earned her dental degree and certificate in public health from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021. During dental school, she developed a strong interest in the intersection of pediatric dentistry and dental anesthesia. Before residency, she practiced as a general dentist in a Medicaid pediatric office—an experience that deepened her commitment to providing compassionate care and ultimately solidified her decision to pursue dental anesthesiology.

In her spare time, Dr. Roberts enjoys thrifting in Avondale and Logan Square, playing soccer at Montrose Beach, and exploring new restaurants and cafés. Some of her favorite spots include Del Sur and Noble Fat for matcha, Jennivee’s Bakery and Verzenay for baked goods, and Tango Sur and Tala House for dining.
She is passionate about providing safe, accessible care and looks forward to contributing to the field through both clinical work and continued education.

Amy Maya, DDS
DENTIST ANESTHESIOLOGIST
Dr. Amy Maya is a board-certified dentist anesthesiologist dedicated to providing safe and compassionate anesthesia care for patients of all ages and backgrounds. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry graduating as salutatorian of her class. Dr. Maya proudly served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy for five years, where she held numerous leadership positions and practiced as a general dentist providing care to active-duty service members. Following her military service, she completed her residency in dental anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh, gaining extensive experience in hospital-based anesthesia and the management of medically complex patients.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Maya enjoys seeing (and singing) Broadway shows, is an avid reader aiming for 100+ books a year, and loves experimenting with creative espresso concoctions. She brings the same passion, focus, and dedication from her personal life into her commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Katelyn Strobel, DDS
DENTIST ANESTHESIOLOGIST
Originally from Pittsburgh, Dr. Katelyn Strobel developed an early interest in dental medicine through her father, a practicing dentist. Before beginning dental school, she gained valuable experience working with an oral surgeon, where she was first introduced to the field of dental anesthesiology and its essential role in delivering safe, comfortable patient care. Her passion for the specialty deepened during dental school as she saw how anesthesia services help pediatric patients, individuals with special needs, and those with dental phobias access the care they need. Now, as a practicing dental anesthesiologist, Dr. Strobel is dedicated to improving access to compassionate, safe dental care for all patients.
In her free time, Dr. Strobel enjoys diving into fantasy and thriller novels, practicing Pilates, and taking long walks along Lake Michigan during the warmer months. A proud Pittsburgh Penguins fan, she never misses a chance to cheer on her hometown team. She is also passionate about Chicago’s diverse food scene, with Il Carciofo in the West Loop, The Gundis in Lakeview, and Riccardo Trattoria in Lincoln Park ranking among her favorite spots.

Dr. Ashley Gunter first became interested in anesthesiology after shadowing an anesthesiologist in high school. That early interest was further solidified during medical school on her anesthesiology rotation, where she was drawn to the hands-on procedures, complex physiologic management of patients, and the variety the field offers. During residency, she developed a particular interest in pediatric anesthesia and pursued subspecialty training in this area. She is board-certified in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology and is passionate about caring for children, striving to make the perioperative experience as positive and comfortable as possible for both patients and their families.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Gunter enjoys traveling—her favorite trip to date was to South Africa—reading, and staying active through weightlifting, running, and cycling. She also enjoys exploring new restaurants, with favorites in Chicago including Monteverde, Rose Mary, and Bavette’s. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Amit Khetan is a dentist anesthesiologist currently practicing in Florida, but has expanded his practice to Illinois. He is committed to providing safe and compassionate anesthesia care for patients of all ages. Prior to going to dental school, he practiced as a Registered Nurse for eight years. Following dental school, he completed his residency in dental anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh, gaining extensive experience in hospital-based anesthesia and the management of medically complex patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Khetan enjoys content in many forms such as tv, film, books, and video games. When not in Illinois, Dr. Khetan soaks in the sun in Florida. He enjoys going to the beach and Disney with his family.
